The link with the world of spirit began early for Alan Holmes.  He was three years old. 

Waking in the middle of the night, he saw the form of a man at the end of his bed that he describes as ‘the man with Christmas tree lights.’ He knew the man was to be his guide. From that time on, Alan's life has been filled with premonitions, prophetic dreams, and visitations from the world of spirit. 

After the loss of both his parents during his school years, Alan’s psychic abilities increased.  His first formal training was in the autumn of 1981 when he sat in a development group led by the well-known medium Ruth Simon Vickers.  They remained close friends until her death in 2009.

His guide visited him again in 1996.  The teaching Alan received then was a universal message of peace, love, hope and balance.  Later the same year, he participated in Rev. Gloria Brough’s spiritual mediumship development workshop. 

As a medium, Alan works with spirit in such a way that the will of spirit comes first.  He receives varied messages from spirit, including messages from family members and the nature spirits ─ those who are the Gardeners of Heaven and Earth.

“It’s all about need for souls here [on earth] to receive guidance and the need for those in spirit to give guidance,” says Alan.   “Sometimes the guidance comes through in the form of messages or healing.  Other times, the medium finds just the right words which help to steer a person in a better direction. 

“The messages and directions may not always be in the way a person thinks they should be, but if the person follows it, they find their way.”

Today, Alan continues with his spiritual work, studying at The Arthur Findlay College in Stansted, England.  He gives private readings, mediumship and meditation classes and workshops, and mediumship demonstrations.
